Hudson Valley’s Haunted “Halloween Queen”

Hudson Valley Halloween Magazine is an online publication for all things grim and ghoulish in the Hudson Valley and spans the northeastern part of the country.

Since 2011, Donna Davies, dubbed the “Hudson Valley Halloween Queen”, brought her Halloween dreams to fruition as founder and president of Haunted Hudson Valley, Ltd.

She began making social connections with like-minded people and created the online publication, Hudson Valley Halloween Magazine to serve as a platform for people who share the love of local lore and all things grim and ghoulish.

An avid Halloween enthusiast since 1973 (at age 10), she divides her time between authoring Halloween books, eerie event planning, and curating Hudson Valley Halloween Magazine.

Using her vast knowledge of marketing and event planning, she has launched events of epic proportions with the help of fellow Halloweenists in the area. Her plethora of Halloween connections from cemetery managers to Halloween artists buries the competition in event attendance.

Ms. Davies celebrates her second year as co-event planner for the Wappingers Falls Annual Halloween Parade and Festival. She has been a judge in the Poughkeepsie Journal’s Spooky Story Contest in 2012, 2013, and 2015.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/E-commerce from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s Certificate in Integrated Marketing from the University of San Francisco.
